“Carve The Way of the Bodhisattva teachings in your heart and in your mind.
Mingle your mind with The Way of the Bodhisattva teachings and practices.
That is what I wish you all will do. So, please take up this practice.”
– Anyen Rinpoche
Anyen Rinpoche has taught on Shantideva’s treasured text The Way of the Bodhisattva twice in an elaborate manner since coming to the United States. Upon completion of the second time through, Rinpoche requested that his students continuously study, contemplate, and recite the text together.
Every week we meet in person and online to recite a portion of The Way of the Bodhisattva. Considered the most essential manual for cultivating, maintaining, and increasing bodhichitta, this text also teaches us how to tame our egos and self attachment so that we can more authentically generate love, compassion, generosity, and patience for all sentient beings. The chapter and verse breakdown for each week can be found on our calendar. All are welcome.
It is very important to Rinpoche that anyone who feels that they have a lama/student relationship with him joins the recitations. He requests that you please make the commitment to fully participate.
Our schedule is designed so that we complete the entire text once per month. For complete details on which chapters and verses we will recite each week and for how to join by Zoom, please visit our calendar. To receive regular program updates, please follow our Facebook page.
Our sangha in Mexico recites the text in Spanish online every week as well. For details regarding how to join the recitations in Spanish, please email oscarfernandez@proton.me.
We hope to build the number of people who join the recitations over time. If you know people who would be interested in connecting with or continuing their own study of this precious text, please share the information so that they can join the recitations. Let's gradually increase the merit and virtue we are accumulating together!
